Mass Distractions

An individual task planner designed for the way attention and energy actually work.

Most task systems are built around an ideal day. They assume people can estimate time consistently, prioritize easily, and approach their work with stable attention and energy.

Mass Distractions begins with a different assumption: the planner should adapt to the person rather than continually asking the person to adapt to the planner.

The problem is not always a lack of discipline.

For many people, particularly those with neurodivergent minds, the difficulty is not knowing that work needs to be done. The difficulty is deciding where to begin, matching tasks to available energy, recovering after interruption, and maintaining momentum when attention changes. Systems built around rigid schedules and perfect consistency can add shame to an already difficult experience.

Planning can be more realistic and more humane.

Mass Distractions helps people organize work around attention, energy, urgency, and momentum. It is designed to support flexible decision-making rather than impose a single method of productivity. The aim is not to fill every available moment, but to make the work in front of them easier to understand and more manageable to approach.

Although designed with neurodivergent adults in mind, the underlying idea is broadly useful: people do better work when the tools they use acknowledge the realities of being human.

Who it serves

Neurodivergent adults, creative and knowledge workers, and anyone seeking a more flexible and forgiving approach to task planning.
